The Hunger Project is a non-profit voluntary organisation committed to the creation of a hunger-free, self-reliant future for Bangladesh. We awaken and mobilise our country's biggest resource, our people, for self-reliant action. Since women are the most disadvantaged and deprived of our society, improving their conditions and creating opportunities for them are the key to achieving such a future. Needlecraft has been created to empower women by creating income-earning opportunities for them.

Needlecraft provides women with training, designs ideas and related support. Most importantly, it helps them to market their products. In doing so, Needlecraft supports the revival and revitalization of our traditional women-led handicraft industry.
